Improve your clubhead control
Visualise swinging a tennis racquet to gain a better understanding of where the clubface is pointing. It is often said that the big muscles control the clubface through impact but in other sports such as Tennis, the hands control where the racquet points - so why should golf be any different?
By using a tennis racquet the larger surface area clearly demonstrates where the face is pointing. Think about it this way, if you want to start the ball to the left, you would point the face in that direction, if you want to start it to the right then you would aim the face to the right and guess what………… If you want to start it straight, you would point the face in that direction!!!
Remember the face sends it and the path bends it (contrary to what we were all taught in years gone by!!). Try this and see how your body automatically moves to support this (see picture) . In simple terms, assuming your grip is good, The palm of your right hand and the clubface point in the same direction, so if we can control where our palm is pointing and the direction its travelling in, we can then control our clubface!!!
